Simple Evening Makeup Look

This past weekend, my husband and I have had our first night out in over a year. One of our good friends got married!  Considering I've spent almost half of the year in a hospital gown, it felt so good to get out, dress up, and put some makeup on!

You guys, it's no joke that it's been a rough year for our family. This was such a nice evening to just go out and celebrate...with my handsome hubby ;)

While shopping at Walmart the other day, I decided to go all out and indulge in some new makeup!!

I don't know about you...but I love love LOVE eye makeup -- specifically mascara. I am not too proud to say I am a huge mascara junkie. I feel like if there is one makeup product I'm going to put on my face before I run out the door, it's hands-down, mascara. It can really brighten up your entire face!!

Anyways, a new mascara was obviously on my must-have list , but I also chose a few other products as well.  Here's my complete beauty haul.

  • Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara -- This is a brand new mascara that I was super excited to try. It's also the first ever mascara to deliver dramatic volume of a 45 degree lift.
  • Brow Define + Fill Duo -- In the perfect shade of brown to create a natural look.
  • Eye Shadow Quad Palette -- I chose this one in neutral tones....perfect for everyday wear, yet can also be used for an evening out. I love these sort of palettes because they literally tell you exactly where to place your eye shadow. It's fool proof!!
  • Bouncy Blush -- My favorite blush ever in "Rose Petal" -- it's the perfect shade to give you a sun-kissed glow!
This particular makeup look only took me about ten minutes -- which is seriously perfect for a busy mom like myself!

1.  I started with the Brow Define + Fill Duo. This is a two-in-one defining pencil and filling powder for naturally full brows.

2.   Next I used the eye shadow palette. As you can see, it literally tells you where to place the eye shadow -- from the base, to the lid, crease, and liner.

 3. Now it was time for my favorite part...the mascara!! The Maybelline Falsies Push Up Mascara by far exceeded my expectations. It was super easy to apply, and provided my lashes with extreme volume. I think pictures speak more than words sometimes...check out the comparison photo of my lashes with the mascara, compared to without...

4.  Finally, I applied my Bouncy Blush. This blush is so easy to apply. You can use an applicator, but I just prefer to blend with my fingers!

Ta-da!!!  Such an easy evening makeup look for a night out!!
