Okay. So, technically I won't be 39 weeks until tomorrow. However, I figured I was closer to 39 than 38, so let's just go with it, k'?
I had my last OB appointment yesterday, and after talking with my doctor, he's hoping I can actually have a spinal this time around with my C-section! The last time, I was put under general anesthesia because after 3 attempts, they couldn't get it in. I have a rod in my back due to scoliosis, and the anesthesiologist felt like he was hitting my hardware. However, I will also say that he didn't seem too confident before he even tried.
Yesterday my OB called the head of anesthesia and they're supposed to send their very best come Monday morning! So, we'll see what happens. I guess worst case scenario is I have to be put under again. But I'm pretty excited I may actually get to be awake when my baby's born....and Jared can actually be in there this time too!
I'm trying to not get my hopes up...but I'm really excited!!
Everything is still going well. My contractions have actually seemed to slow down a bit...especially the back ones (thank God)! Just hoping baby brother stays put until Monday, and then we'll be good to go!
And now for my [final] survey!!!
How far along? Technically today is 38 weeks 6 days
Weight gain/loss: Total weight gain 31 pounds. With Lincoln I gained 35 pounds total.
Maternity clothes? Yes. Like the same 3 shirts again and again.
Sleep? Still pretty good, minus the potty trips!
Best moment this week? Lincoln has started to talk to my belly. He is telling him how excited he is to meet him next week. So adorable! And the possibility of being able to have a spinal!! Woohoo!!
Food cravings: Nothing offhand.
Gender: BABY BROTHER!!!
Belly button in or out? Flat and disgusting. Yuck.
Movement? He's such a crazy boy!
What I miss? Being able to breathe, not being in pain, not being pregnant...hah! But just 3 more days!!!
What I'm looking forward to: Oh, you know. MEETING MY BABY IN 3 DAYS!!! And seeing my boys together for the first time.
Milestones: He's still staying put, and I'm almost done! I'm proud of myself for [attempting as best as I can] to rock this pretty difficult pregnancy.
And here's my latest belly pic!
