Well, here we are...37 weeks! What used to be considered "full term." Did you hear the latest though? 39 weeks is now what's considered. Makes sense, as my doctor will not schedule a C-section before 39 weeks, unless necessary.
Anyways, I am almost done...and very excited about that! As uncomfortable as I am, I really want this little guy to stay put until his scheduled date on the 18th. I think I would panic if I went into labor!!
Everything is looking good with Avery. I had my final growth ultrasound yesterday, and he's measuring in the 85th percentile, and estimated to be 7 pounds 10 ounces! Jared was shocked...but I expected about that! At 34 weeks, he was estimated to be 5 pounds 10 ounces, so that makes about sense! And also, keep in mind that my sweet Lincoln was 8 pounds 13 ounces when he was born. Big babies are my thing!!
I do think Avery will be a bit smaller than Lincoln though. Just a feeling I have.
My polyhydramnios has actually been basically non-existent. My fluid numbers are averaging between 18-23cm. Normal fluid range is anywhere between 7-25cm. So really, not bad at all.
I am experiencing something I never felt with Lincoln. Contractions. With Lincoln, I had them, but it was never something I could feel. With Mr. Avery, I can feel them. And they hurt. Well, the only ones that actually hurt are the ones in my back. Those are no freaking joke! I feel for all you momma's who have gone through back labor! OUCH!!!
Anyways, there's nothing consistent about them. They are completely irregular, but still annoying. And painful.
Okay, here we go...survey time!
How far along? 37 weeks
Weight gain/loss: I'm up 27 pounds total.
Sleep? I love sleep. Lately though when I wake up to pee, you know a gazillion times, it takes me almost an hour to fall back asleep. My mind is just racing! I mean, I'M HAVING A BABY IN TWO WEEKS!!! Lots to think about!!
Best moment this week? We got to see Avery on the big screen again. That's always exciting. He is all sprawled out in there too...which is definitely contributing to why I'm so gosh darn uncomfortable. Most babies are in a little ball at this point...not my crazy man.
Food cravings: Root beer floats and fountain coke. And I'm not even a soda drinker!
Gender: BABY BROTHER!!!
Belly button in or out? Flat and disgusting. Yuck.
Movement? Yes. No signs of slowing down at all. Lincoln never did either. Apparently I make some active boys!
What I miss? Being able to breathe, not being in pain, not being pregnant...hah!
And for your enjoyment, here is a front view of the ever growing bump!
13 more days. Let's do this.
