Thankful Thursday

I really cannot tell you the last time I did one of these posts.  However, I really feel like I should today.

Let me start off by saying, my parents are amazing.

They spent the last weekend at our house.  My mom knew I wanted to prepare some freezer meals for when baby brother arrives, so she offered to help me cook.   And by "help" me cook, I mean she pretty much did everything.

I've had a pretty rough pregnancy, on the physical end.  Medically speaking, my pregnancy is going perfect.  My blood pressure is perfect, weight is good, baby is good.  But physically?  I'm in pain.  I'm uncomfortable.  It's rough.

My mom knows this, and I think it's hard on her being 2.5 hours away.  If she was closer, she'd be helping me as much as she could!  Technically, she still is helping me as much as she can, but let's be honest -- 2.5 hours is quite the drive, and not something that can be done every other day or so.

But last weekend was seriously amazing.  We prepared a bunch of freezer meals, and she and my dad got to spend some great time with Lincoln.

Lincoln just loves his Grammy & Grandpa.  Here he is with my mom being "squid heads."

They were planning on leaving Monday morning, however, I had an NST scheduled for 9am.  I asked my mom if she wanted to go with me, knowing there was a good chance she'd get to see her second grandchild on the ultrasound.  Of course she was thrilled to go...she has never had the opportunity to go with me to an appointment.

Little Avery did great on his NST, however, they wanted to check my fluid with the ultrasound!  She was so happy.  The nurse spent a little extra time, pointing things out to her like his little ears, and the fact that he has hair!

Lincoln wasnt too happy when it was time for them to go back home.  But we promised he'd see them in two weeks, when we go there for my moms birthday.

Although there is a bit of a distance between us, I realize how lucky I am to have such supportive parents.  And for that, I am thankful.
