Family Friendly Holidays in Cyprus

If you're planning a family holiday this summer or next, you'll already know that there are plenty of Mediterranean hotspots that would tick all the right boxes. There's Spain with its well-equipped family resorts in the Costas, the friendly appeal of Malta, the huge choice and fabulous beach resorts of the Algarve, and many more sun-soaked gems to take your fancy.

And what about Cyprus? It's famous for many things, including the mythical birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite, the stamina-testing nightclub scene in Ayia Napa, and the infamous 'Green Line' separating North from South. One thing's for sure, Cyprus is a melting pot of culture and heritage. But it offers much, much more, and this is where families should take note.

Family holidays in Cyprus are full of exciting things to see and do. For starters, you'll find some cracking resorts lined up along the coastline. Just take a look at these Thomas Cook holidays to Cyprus, for instance. In Paphos you'll find the fantastic Pafian Sun Holiday Village, which offers all manners of different child-friendly activities and a Kids' Club too, which means mum and dad can sneak off for some relaxation while the little ones are kept entertained in a fun, safe environment. The Dome Beach Hotel & Apartments is another family favourite, located in the lovely Cyprus resort of Nissi Bay.

For some splash-tastic family fun, head to WaterWorld near Ayia Napa for a day of flumes, pools, plunges, whirlpools, inflatables, and just about every other water-based activity you can imagine. And if the beach is calling, you'll be simply spoilt for choice with the many beautiful bays, gorgeous coves and long ribbons of golden sand that grace the coastline of Cyprus.

So if you're looking for a family holiday to remember, make sure Cyprus is on your list. It's bound to tick all the right boxes and who knows, maybe it will be your new family favourite?
