I had my 24 week appointment the other day, and things are going great with baby brother!
We've been taking Lincoln along with us to my monthly routine OB appointments, to prep him for his little brother. When I told him we had to go to Mommy's doctor for the baby, he jumped up and said, "I NEED MY BAG!!!" He disappeared into the other room, and came back with his little Fisher Price medical bag! Cutest thing ever!
When my doctor walked into the room at my appointment, Lincoln was all ready to go with his stethoscope around his neck. My doctor was cracking up! He was really awesome with Lincoln. He put the gel on my stomach, and let Lincoln hold the doppler to find the heartbeat. Lincoln seriously found it right away. The smile on his face as priceless. He made my little boys day!
We also scheduled my C-section date for November 18th -- as long as he doesn't decide to come before then, of course! I'll be 39 weeks 2 days. Lincoln's birthday is November 23rd, so their birthday's will be 5 days apart!
I go back in 4 weeks, and at that time I'll have my glucose test. Then, I'll be in my third trimester and my appointments will be every two weeks. CRAZINESS!!!
And now, for my "weekly" survey...hah!
How far along? 24 weeks
Weight gain/loss: I'm up 15 pounds. At this point in my pregnancy with Lincoln, I was up 18 pounds...so pretty similar. However, this baby is measuring right on track, where Lincoln was already measuring ahead at this point!
Maternity clothes? Yes. Absolutely everything. I need some maternity yoga pants!
Stretch marks? None.
Sleep? I sleep pretty great still -- minus the getting up every 3 hours to pee.
Best moment this week? A great doctors appointment.
Food cravings: Rhode Island RED chowder and clam cakes!!
Gender: BABY BROTHER!!!
Belly button in or out? Completely flat.
Movement? Oh yes, and it's getting stronger and more frequent each day. He's a wild little man :)
What I'm looking forward to: I'm just soaking up this time right now as a little family of three.
Milestones: Viability Day and scheduling my C-section! OH, and we have a name!!!! More on that later ;)
Annnnd for a ginormous belly pic...
He's up high, yet when I stand up OHMYGAWD my poor pelvic bone. It sometimes feels like my stomach is going to fall off. I never had pelvic pain with Lincoln, but it certainly isn't a fun time -- AND, I'm only 24 weeks, so I'm assuming it will only get worse? Fantastic! I think I'm going to see if there's any sort of exercises I can do to help out with the pain, because sometimes I can barely walk.
So that's where we're at. An overall good update -- minus the crappy parts ;)
And just for fun, here's my 25 week bump post with Lincoln.
