Remember this post when I showed you all our holiday photo attire? Well, things changed a bit. Not so much with the clothing, but it more or less turned into a mother/son photo shoot, rather than a family one.
I had this phenomenal deal I purchased on Groupon for a photo session at Target awhile back. While some people may frown upon studio photos, I personally know the photographer, so I normally get a much different experience, and lots of great shots. However, the studio is in Rhode Island 2 1/2 hours away, and the only day I could get my little family together was on a day that particular photographer wasn’t working. I figured I’d suck it up. Maybe the photos wouldn’t be as great, but I’m sure we could still manage to get a nice family shot.
I’m not going to go into details as to everything that happened, but let’s just say we walked out. We didn’t even get into the studio, the photographer was unbelievably rude to me, and there was just no way I was going to smile for a photo.
What that photographer didn’t know, was I knew the manager of that studio, the one who normally takes our photos.
I called her, and she profusely apologized, and told me she could take our photos the next morning. Only problem was, Jared had to work, and wouldn’t be able to be there for our family photos.
Although I wasn’t happy Jared wouldn’t be there, I thought it might be a fun time to have a little mother/son photo shoot…along with some photos of just my sweet Lincoln by himself.
We got so many great shots, thanks to my exceptional photogenic son. Seriously. He is so handsome. And the photos with me? He couldn’t have been sweeter with his Momma.
I told you.
Adorable.
