Although we didn't really go anywhere this weekend, we were still busy around the house. Sometimes a nice semi-relaxing weekend at home is just what you need!
For starters, last weekend I got my hair cut. I had three inches taken off! My hair sucks since I had my thyroidectomy three years ago. It used to be soooo unbelievably thick. Now...it's much thinner, thank you thyroid medication. There's not a whole heck of a lot I can do about it. I can't exactly stop taking my thyroid medicine. And I'll take the thin hair over cancer any day.
I had my hair dresser bring up my layers a bit to hopefully give it more body. And I had her highlight it. I asked for light brown, but she has a thing for red. I'm starting to get used to it a bit. Here are the results...with my hair straight [it's naturally curly].
So, yeah. Moving on.
I've been wanting to try Bare Minerals for quite some time. I just never wanted to spend the money, ha! It's so funny. I can go buy a ridiculously cute, but pricey outfit for my son, or buy him the latest toy I know he'll love, but I now have trouble spending money on myself!
Well, I decided it was time. I did some heavy shopping at Sephora online. As much as I love going into their store, I prefer buying from them online because you get free samples. And who doesn't like free samples?! So...I went a little nuts.
Not only did I get the Bare Minerals starter kit, but I also decided to get this super cute kit from Stila that included a blush and TWO lip glosses! Umm, yeah and that's not all. I also splurged on some lip gloss from Nars, in the shade "Orgasm." I'm going to be honest. I probably bought that gloss because of it's name.
Anyways, here's my loot!!
I can't wait to play with it all! I figured, I'm 30 years old....I NEED some good stuff for my face to keep it looking young & fresh ;)
Now for a poop saga...
Lincoln was going on FIVE FREAKING DAYS of not pooping. Yeah. Way too long, needless to say. I sent the hubs out to get some suppositories. As much as I didn't want to do it, I knew my boy needed some help, not to mention relief! The suppository was like magic. He seriously went like one minute after I gave it to him....and then he ended up going THREE TIMES MORE!!! Yeah. That's a lot of poop.
I think it might be time to place a call into his pediatrician. This is the third round of not pooping. The last two times were four days, this time five. I don't know what's going on. His diet hasn't changed. I was also giving him miralax every flippin' day, as well as prune juice. Nothing worked.
He was a very happy boy once he got that out of his system. Obviously. He was all backed up, my poor boy.
He put this hat on all by himself and then smiled so I could take his picture. He knows he's funny :)
So, that's our weekend. Well, mostly anyways. I left out the part about cleaning our house. But who would want to read about that?! Now it's time for some snuggles with my sweet boy.
