I never do these posts every week, but I try to do them every once in awhile. I think it helps to keep things in perspective. To take a look at what's going on in your life currently, and be thankful. So with that, here we go...
First and foremost, I am beyond thankful that my Dad is back at the top of the list for his blood type for his transplant. We had a bit of a scare earlier this week that I didn't mention. A few weeks ago my Dad had a routine ultrasound on his liver. That turned out okay, however they found something that could have possibly been colon cancer. Yeah. The dreaded "Big C." He found this out on Monday. They were very proactive and scheduled a colonoscopy on Wednesday. If it was found that my Dad had cancer, he would be removed from the list. He would have to be treated for the cancer and 100% clear before he would become eligible for a transplant.
Well, we already received the results and not only is he free of cancer, but he is back at the top of the list again!!! Thank you God! This is such a relief for my entire family. Hopefully now he'll finally receive "the" call.
I am also thankful for the couple of hours I had alone with the hubs last night. We managed to watch Breaking Dawn [umm, yay for vampire sex!!!]. Loved the movie, but yes, the books are just so much better. I cannot wait for Part 2 to come out in November, because although I know how the story goes, they way they ended Part 1 just leaves you begging for more!!
What are you thankful for this week?
