Blankie Baby

Lincoln has just recently taken a liking to blankies. I find it rather funny, because he is 17 months old, and just getting attached to them now. I thought it would have happened sooner than this! But anyways, it's very cute nonetheless!! He'll climb into his chair, and wrap himself in his blankie... The other night he actually covered me up with his blankie, and then waved "bye bye." I think my sweet boy tucked me into bed! Here he is the other night, clearly way tired, dragging his blankie around on his Toy Story car...

My brother had a favorite blankie when he was a baby. My Mom still has it, except it no longer looks like a blankie, but more like a knotted rag :)

Does your baby have a certain blankie or lovey that he/she is attached to? I think it's super cute :)

Easter Weekend

What a fun weekend! Holidays surely are better with wee ones in your life! We had a jam packed weekend, filled with all things fun :)

For starters, Lincoln had his first run with coloring Easter eggs! This was fun, and incredibly messy! I don't know who had more fun, him or me :)

Here are his masterpieces...with a little help from Mommy :)

Easter morning was very exciting. We spent the weekend at my parents house, and Lincoln woke up to not one, but TWO, not baskets, but HUGE BUCKETS filled with fun goodies!!! His Grammy & Grandpa spoil him, just a bit :)

He was very excited about his bat that his Uncle (my brother) got him. He kept saying "bat!"

& of course with that bat, came Lincoln's first glove!

He really loved being the center of attention :)

Next up, was the Easter egg hunt. It didn't take Lincoln long to figure it out!

This picture is super close, because he was proudly showing me his eggs :)

Happily running with two of his Elmo eggs :)

Our little family...

& after all that excitement, this is what happened...

We had a busy, fun-filled weekend...& I think our sweet boy would agree :)

Easter 2010 Throwback

With Easter Sunday coming up this weekend, I thought it would be fun to look back at pictures of Lincoln's first Easter, last year.

I really cannot believe how much my sweet boy has grown! He seems so itty bitty in some of these pictures ::cue the tears::

Momma & her sweet boy

Daddy & his little buddy

Drinking from a bottle! We haven't done that in a long time!

My Mom, Me, & little Lincoln

My beautiful little family :)

I am really looking forward to Easter this year. My parents have an Easter egg hunt at their house, and Lincoln will be able to participate this year! I'll definitely take lots of pictures to share. Wishing you and your families a happy, blessed Easter.

Our Honeymoon

As promised in yesterday's Wedding Day post, today I will share some photos with you from our honeymoon!

We honeymooned locally. My parents have a timeshare townhouse, directly on one of the beaches in Rhode Island. They just so happened to have it the week we'd be honeymooning, so they kindly offered it to us :)

Jared decorated our car, and we arrived in style...

He had the place all decorated when we arrived Here we are on our front deck, overlooking the ocean... The next morning, I woke up to this surprise...
and this...
and this... :)
Yes, my husband can be quite the romantic. However, he also decided he needed to master the Rubik cube on our honeymoon...
He completed it, while I took a blissful 2 hour nap
Here we are with the surprise quilt that was presented to us at our wedding.

Grill master...watch out!

Just me...
Our view from our balcony on the second floor
No, he's not naked
Our last night on our balcony
We had a great time, just relaxing, and enjoying ourselves as newlyweds :)

Because my parents have this as a time share, we luckily get to go back every year, to celebrate our anniversary :) Hope you enjoyed the pics!!

Our Wedding Day

Recently, one of my readers requested to see some pictures from our wedding day. I honestly cannot believe I haven't shared this day with you already! Consider yourself forewarned...this post is going to be BURSTING out the seams with photos :)

Our wedding day was May 20th, 2007. We chose that date, specifically, because my Grandmother would be celebrating her 80th birthday. My grandmother passed away, when I was 12 years old. When we were looking at the calendar for possible wedding dates, I immediately knew our day was May 20th, when I saw it was on a Sunday :)

Here I am, on our special day... And, here is my dashing groom... Me with my parents
Me with my beautiful dog, Lacey
My 3 adorable flower girls
I surprised Jared with a horse & carriage. He had no idea, until I arrived. Here I am with my Mom, Dad, & brother.

Just me... Me with my beautiful Matron of Honor

Here we come!!!

Walking down the aisle. I did something totally different, and original, if I do say so myself. I had my Mom, Dad, and brother walk me down the aisle. I felt like my brother needed to be included as well :)
Hugging my Mom & Dad
& my baby bro [he's 6'3", I'm 4'11", ha!] :)
Getting Married
Exchanging rings

You may now kiss the bride.... We did it!!!

The happy couple
Going for our horse & carriage ride

My cutie pie niece & nephew, flower girl & ring bearer
Wedding portraits

Wedding party
First Dance. Our song was "From this Moment," by Shaina Twain. Jared chose it :)

Dancing with my Dad

Cutting the cake
Lots & lots of kisses :)
We had a beautiful day. I wish I could relive it again, and again. It seems amazing that we'll be married for 4 years in just one month. I hope you enjoyed my wedding photos, tomorrow I'll post some pictures from our honeymoon :)
