...but, I completely bought something for our unconceived, baby #2 yesterday!
You should all know by now, that I love giraffes. It mostly started when we got Sophie for Lincoln, and then it grew from there. My sweet boy was a giraffe for Halloween. And, he even had a giraffe themed 1st birthday party.
So, while at one of my most favorite stores ever, Kohls, I spotted this super cute sleep-n-play. ...not only does it have an adorable giraffe on it, it's 100% completely gender neutral!!! How perfect is that for baby #2?! Oh, and underneath the giraffe, it says, "So Big." CUUUUTE!!!!
I had to buy it. Jared even wanted it. So, now it will sit in storage for quite some time until we have our second wee baby.
It might sounds crazy in theory, but to me, it's practical :)

You should all check out her blog here. You can read all about her journey TTC, and now her journey throughout a healthy, happy pregnancy! :)

If you're a fan of Sex & the City....then you surely remember the episode when Carrie spies those simply fabulous Manalo Blahnik shoes in a shop window. To her, those shoes define a specific form of love and adoration.
While I can do without the fancy shoes, this is my "Manalo"...
Hello, my name is Kami, and I love coffee. To me, a good cup of coffee is pure perfection. Taking a sip of that yummy flavor can brighten my mood in an instant. I look forward to my morning cup[s] of coffee.
This past Christmas, I received the cup of coffee's best friend...

While going through Lincoln's clothes the other day, I came across this itty-bitty sock, that he actually wore when he was a wee babe... Nostalgic, don't you think?
I'll admit, I haven't packed it away with the rest of his "too small" clothes. It's still sitting on his dresser for me to marvel at whenever I want. It's crazy to think that his foot was once that small! And I'll admit it, it makes me start to think about baby #2! I'm not quite ready to go there yet....I want some more one on one time with my precious boy....but it is exciting to think about :)

I don't normally post super serious topics. I usually try to keep my blog positive, and upbeat. However, I also like to be honest, about everything in my life...so I'm going to tell you about my Dad.
My father was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver 8 years ago. And no, before you ask, my Dad is not an alcoholic. In fact, my father rarely drank prior to his diagnosis. He is just one of the lucky few I guess you could say, that didn't need alcohol to destroy his liver.
I could seriously write a ridiculously long post about everything he's been through the past years, but I think I'll try to just cut to the chase.
We [finally] have some good news. Here in the New England region, for my Dad to even get a liver, he'd have to get really really sick....almost to the point of death. He's getting weaker and weaker by the day, and honestly, is no where near the point of getting a liver. He is on the list, but his numbers are too low to actually obtain one. At his last appointment, his doctor mentioned getting the transplant in a different region. Apparently the wait list is A LOT shorter in other regions. He wouldn't have to move there. He'd have to go there for about a week for his initial appointments. Once the hospital knew he'd be receiving a liver soon, they'd call him and tell him to make arrangements to get there.
If he goes to another region the wait time is one week to three months. That is beyond amazing! It would literally take YEARS for him to receive a liver here in New England. To think my Dad could have one in a few months, seriously, I don't know what to say.
We also found out that his insurance will cover a portion of their flight, and up to $100 per night in lodging while he is there. More than likely my brother will take a family medical leave from work. He's still living at home, and honestly has no responsibilities, so it's pretty perfect. My Mom is the insurance carrier, so she needs to work...not to mention she needs the cash coming in!
My Mom would be able to take some time off from work here and there during the time that he would need to be in the area. I'm hoping I would be able to visit once or twice as well.
I am seriously so happy. This is really my Dad's best shot at getting a healthy liver. It's really hard seeing him so tired all the time. He seriously has no energy whatsoever. I want him to be able to enjoy his grandson. I want him to enjoy his life. He's only 55 years old, that's young in today's world!
Anyways, if you can spare a few prayers for my family, I'd so appreciate it. I'm not normally one to ask for something like that, but it would mean a lot.
Now that you know that whole story, I promise to keep you all updated on this whole process. Hopefully we're finally at the end of the road!!

If you're from New England, you know that we can have some pretty treacherous winters. This winter, we have seriously had record breaking snow accumulation. We have had a storm once a week...that is insane!!!
I had yet to take Lincoln out to play in this snowy mess, because of how hectic our schedule has been. However, this past weekend, my parents came over, and Lincoln got to play in the snow with his Grammy!!
She bought him this darling little sled...seriously, how cute?!And she took him up and down the driveway a gazillion times....
Here they are right before they decided it was time to come in. Lincoln was falling asleep!!
And just for the fun of it, I took a picture of this crazy snow pile in the front of my house...

My kid cracks me up, seriously! I was trying to get him to give one of his super cute flirtatious smiles, but he was way more interested in blowing raspberries! I'm going to have my hands full with this one, I tell you!
As far as Valentine's Day goes....times surely have changed! Jared and I used to look forward to a fun-filled night out. Now? Today we're relaxing with our sweetest little valentine, Lincoln. And honestly, nothing could make me happier :)
Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day!

...and I couldn't be more proud!
Jared's graduation was absolutely perfect. The ceremony was very impressive, and my officer, was impeccable....and quite dashingly handsome, if I do say so myself :)
Lincoln was seriously the most well-behaved baby on the planet. He sat behind me, with my Mom and brother throughout the ceremony. His Uncle [my brother] is like one of his favorite people in the world, so I thought it would be a great distraction to have him sit with him. I loaded his diaper bag up with his favorite snacks...and he was the happiest little man! He honestly didn't fuss once. He did let out some squeals and some "hi's" and my favorite was when he started chanting "yeah, yeah yeah!" ...very loudly :) But in all honesty, I was so proud of my sweet boy!!!
Now, on with the picture overload. I apologize for the crappy quality in the pictures, the lighting was terrible!
First of all, we had reserved seating...seriously, how freakin' awesome is that?! Here is Jared marching in. He's second in line...
Here is the 330th graduating class of the Connecticut Police Academy
Here is Lincoln enjoying his snacks with his Uncle & Grammy [my brother & mom].
Jared was a Seargeant during his time at the Police Academy. Here he is reading the names of the officer's in his squad, while they received their badges.
Here is Jared receiving his badge from his father. His Dad was able to pin his badge onto him, because he was in the Navy. I think this is a nice personal touch.
He's been sworn in since August, but here he is [in the middle] getting sworn in [again] for the ceremony.
Lincoln did not recognize his Daddy with his hat on! Once Jared took his hat off, Lincoln jumped into his arms. He was quite impressed with his Daddy's shiny badge :)
And, unfortunately, this is the only family shot we got. Lincoln was so over it at this point...but hey, at least he was an angel during the ceremony!
And my husband, being the goof that he is, totally pulled the handcuffs out in this picture...look closely!!
It was such a beautiful, memorable night. I was able Lincoln was able to be part of it, even though he won't remember it.
I am so proud of Jared, and so proud to be the wife of a police officer. I truly married an amazing man :)

For a long time, it felt like this day would never get here.
However, here we are. Today Jared will graduate from the Police Academy. I am so proud of him. He has sacrificed so much these 5 1/2 months for our family. It has been so hard, but so worth it.
I couldn't find an appropriate card for Lincoln to give his Daddy, so I made him one. Here is the front. I found these awesome police scrapbooking stickers :)
And here is the inside...
My Daddy Is My Hero
This world has many heroes,
But among all of the heroes,
He's more than just a hero,
He may not be as famous,
He keeps his word, it's good as gold,
When I hear about a hero,
Seriously, how perfect is that? I don't think I could have said it better myself.
I cannot wait to watch my husband tonight as he walks across the stage to receive his badge. I am so proud of him, and all that he's accomplished. Lincoln is so lucky to have such a wonderful, caring father. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband, who puts his family first, above everything.
Lincoln and I are so blessed to have our very own hero. I promise to take lots of pictures of the ceremony to share with you all!

I hardly ever post videos on here. I *think* I want to start posting more....that is if my readers are interested :)
We did build our house, so I could show you our home...and I love to show off my sweet boy. He entertains me, anyway!
Well, here is a video I shot of him the yesterday. Right now his favorite toys are balls. He even says it quite well, and totally understands what a ball is.
For your viewing pleasure, here's Lincoln :)
Oh, and if you're interested in my little video idea, I'd love some feedback :)

...Lincoln has his very own, big boy chair! I wanted to get him one for Christmas. Honestly, I had all intentions on buying him one of those super cute personalized ones from Pottery Barn Kids, but the fabric I liked was on backorder until March!
So, we headed to Babies R Us last weekend. We had no plans on buying Lincoln a chair there, but once we saw it, we fell in love! We took it off the shelf, and plopped him in it. He started smiling and happily swinging his legs. It was meant to be :)
When we came home, he climbed right in...
And the next morning, he enjoyed his morning cup of milk in his new chair, while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse [note the crazy bed head] :)
