Thankful Thursday

I am completely guilty of stealing this off of a blog I follow, but what a great idea! Here are a list of things I am thankful for this week:

• My beautiful healthy, happy baby boy. He will always be the number one thing I am thankful for :)
• My amazing hubby... for putting up with me!
• My beautiful house, for finally being built and able to live in!
• Lincoln not having Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), or carrying the gene! For that, I will forever be thankful!
• My loving and supportive parents.
• My "baby" brother (he's 25, lol)
• My "sister," and Lincoln's "Aunnie."
• And lastly, for going home to Rhode Island this weekend to see family and friends :)

2 months old!

I cannot believe my little man is two months old already! Where has the time gone?! We had his 2 month checkup yesterday, and he is right on track. He now weighs 12 lbs 6 oz, and is 24 1/4 inches long...such a big boy :) Lincoln is starting to really get quite the personality, which gets more fun everyday. He is all smiles now, and loves to make adorable little faces like he's telling you one heck of a story. It really is the cutest thing ever! He also has really good head control for his age. I cannot believe how strong he is! When I was pregnant with him, I always thought he was a strong little boy, and now that he's here...he is just proving that mommy was right all along :)

We had a photo shoot the other day on his 2 month birthday...here are some of the shots for your enjoyment!

I wish the time would slow down. I want to be able to hold him for just a little bit longer :)

2009 In Pictures

I am completely guilty of stealing this idea from some of my fellow bloggers. The year 2009 started off really awful for me with being diagnosed with thyroid cancer and having a miscarriage. However, once I got that positive pregnancy test in March, I knew the year would be one to remember. Here is a look at our very eventful year!

On March 22, 2009, my life forever changed when this beautiful word popped up:

Me?!?! That's right, this beautiful shiny award has been bestowed upon me, thanks to the lovely JenniferMae! So here we go, 10 honest things about myself:

1. You know how people say "girls marry people like their fathers?" Well, I proved that theory wrong and married someone completely like my MOTHER! My husband and Mom are so much alike it's scary!

2. When I was younger I used to want to be some high-powered business woman. However, as I entered the college world, I realized how much I wanted to be a stay-at-home Mom. Maybe I'll do something with my degree one day when my kids are older, but for right now my full-time job is "Lincoln's Mommy" :)

3. I have known my best friend since we were 5 years old. She is the sister I never had, and Lincoln's godmother (of course!)

4. My Mom is one of my bestest friends. I seriously don't know what I would do without her.

5. I seriously believe I married the most amazing man ever and consider myself one heck of a lucky girl to be his wife.

6. Twins run in my family. I used to think having them would be fun, but now that I'm a mom I give major credit to those mommies who have twins! I don't know how they do it!

7. Having my baby boy is the thing I am most proud of and is definitely the best thing I have ever done with my life. Words cannot describe how precious he is to me.

8. My husband is WAY more domesticated than I am...it's to the point where I'll clean or organize something, and he'll re-do it!

9. I love animals and always have.

10. Secretly when I first became pregnant I wanted a girl. However, the second I found out I was having a boy, I was beyond thrilled. Now that Lincoln is here, I cannot explain how much I love having a son!

My life has forever changed...

Boy am I in need of an update! On November 23, 2009 (as planned!), our beautiful son Lincoln James was born. There is not much of a birth story because it was a planned c-section. It was certainly the happiest days of my life. It is true what they say. The love you have for your child is unimaginable. It is absolutely impossible to describe or to understand until that little baby is placed into your arms. In my case, it was a big baby! Lincoln was 8 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches long! Such a big boy considering I'm only 5 feet and 100 lbs myself!

Also, some wonderful news...he does NOT have Osteogenesis Imperfecta! My baby boy is 100% perfectly healthy. I am so very grateful!

He is now 6 weeks old and has started to smile. He is trying to babble, I can just tell! Sometimes a little noise will come out, but right now it's mostly just expressions, which I love! His smiles melt my heart. Here are a few pictures to show off my adorable baby boy!
