34 week growth ultrasound

Well, I had my 34 week growth ultrasound on Monday and Lincoln is measuring in the 76th percentile! His estimated weight is already 6 lbs 4 oz., his little feet are already 2 1/2 inches long, he has chubby cheeks, and a head full of hair! They also measured the length and density of all of his bones again, and everything is still checking out wonderfully. I really do not think he has OI because of how ridiculously active and strong he is! The nurse who does my NSTs even said that he is very strong because with all of the extra water I have due to the Polyhydramnios, you can still see my stomach moving with each kick, punch, jab, and roll he does! As for my excess amniotic fluid, it is still high. My measurements have been 25, 24, 27, 29, and 30. Last night Jared was looking at my stomach and he said "I don't know how much more you can actually stretch, you are huge!" Surprisingly enough, I do not have one stretch mark, knock on wood! I am measuring 37 weeks. Because of the extra fluid, my stomach will be heavier than others who's fluid is within the normal range. I really think I'm starting to feel it. I get out of breath doing the simplest of things. By the end of the day, which is around 7pm, my body is exhausted and I am ready to lie down. My doctor has been really happy with how I've handled this pregnancy thus far...especially for having OI myself. He is pushing for me to make it to 39 weeks with my scheduled c-section...part of me would love to make it that far, but the other part would love to have him at 37 weeks as long as he's good and ready to make his debut. I have my next appointment tomorrow so we'll see if he has anything new to say.

The ultrasound tech was also kind enough to print out this picture for us...still clearly stating that Lincoln is a little boy....needless to say, Jared is quite proud!

  1. Kami- you don't know me.. but I came across your blog looking up POLYHYDRAMNIOS because I just had my 20 week ultrasound today and they told me I have it. Of course I started research on the web and luckily I found this blog!! I couldn't believe your post because I TOO have OI (type 1) and I have never met or known anyone else with OI!! I am just amazed!! You are a bit further along than I am so maybe you would be willing to email me or chat with me sometime about your experiences. I also have a blog that we started when we started the adoption process for our son. www.luvluca.blogspot.com
I am so glad I found this blog and I can't wait to read every post!

  2. Hey Kami, I was thinking about you, I am assuming that you had baby Lincoln! Hope everything is going well!
